This is my first tree quilt. I see a line of red leaved trees on a green hill as in the poem: Along the line of smokey hills the crimson forest stands...... I started with a brief sketch of this scene before I started to piece it together in a free form manner.
The material is all cotton, hand tied and machine pieced. 44" x 34" 2007 Private Collection
