Early Snow on Trees

This quilt is pieced with many different types of fabrics. I've printed and painted some of the fabric using ColourVie products before I sliced it up. Some of the fabric is japanese from Kalisti Quilts (in Waterloo, Ont.) Though most of the material is from my extensive stash. The quilt stitching is done by hand.

The quilt is my third in a series of tree quilts. The trees are always in warm shades of red, oranges and pinks. In this quilt the leaves have turned various colours and are still on the trees although it has already snowed. 42"x29" 2008
